What if the item will not fit through the door — can you hoist it?

Often, yes. We try the door first, since tilting, angling, and removing a door frame or banister buys more clearance than most people expect. When that genuinely will not work, our own crew can rig and hoist the item through a window or over a balcony. That takes planning: we need to see the opening, the anchor points, and what is below, and your building or association has to approve it, because some prohibit balcony rigging outright. You will hear whether a hoist is realistic during the assessment, not on moving day.

What is the heaviest item you can move?

We regularly handle items up to 2,000+ lbs, including large gun safes, commercial equipment, and stone furniture. Past that point the honest answer is that it depends less on the weight than on the route — a 2,000-lb safe on a loading dock is easier than a 900-lb one in a basement with a tight stair turn. Can you move a safe down a flight of stairs?

Yes. Safes down staircases are routine work for us, using stair-climbing equipment and a controlled descent rather than raw lifting. We assess the staircase beforehand — tread depth, landing size, banister, and what the turn at the bottom looks like — so the descent is planned before any weight is on the stairs.

Do you disassemble and reassemble pool tables and gym equipment?

Yes, both. Slate pool tables come apart, travel as separate padded components, and are reassembled and re-levelled at the destination. Gym equipment is broken down to whatever clears the doorway and rebuilt at the other end. Hardware is labelled as it comes off so nothing is guessed at during reassembly.
